Siva Mantra/சிவ மந்திரம்

The word “WORLD” practically means the earth on which we live. When the earth rotates on its own axis, it creates a sound which is called as pranava sound otherwise called as ‘OM’.  Along with this natural sound, if we chant ‘OM’, all the waves of our thoughts and prayers get strengthened and we can see things happening in our life to be more favourable to us.

For instance when there is a heavy gush of water like floods, many big trees fall where as the small plants here and there, bend to the force of the water, but finally remains sturdy in its place. So also the mantra ‘OM’ when chanted will travel along the pranava wave (which is nature, the cosmic energy) and fulfil our prayers.

The magic mantra ‘OM’ is the easy way to get our desires fulfilled. Rev. Father Sadhu Chellappa had written that the ‘OM’ mantra belongs to Christianity and the same is chanted as ‘Amen’, especially in Wastern Countries.

Maha Vishnu, the protector of this world has shanku and charka in his hands. Thus the protected world moves with sound and light. Mantras, in other words the sound waves are considered as the main protection shield for man. Whenever this holy mantra is chanted, a circle of sound is formed around us and ultimately protects us. The world is operated with 51 sound waves, which reminds us of the 51 Atcharas on lord Natraja’s body.

If a mantra has to work that is to give a favourable result, we have to chant the mantra for a lakh time. This may be done by changing daily for a certain number of times(for E.g. 1008 time per day) till it is completed for one lakh times. While chanting the power of this gets deposited on the right toe and moves in a clock wise to the left toe and a positive energy circle get stored in the body(The sacred mantra gets deposited in the blood cells of all our parts of the body).

As and when required, on chanting this mantra once give us positive results. To obtain best results the mantra should be chanted by sitting on a piece of wood, carpet or tiger skin. It is more effective when chanted on a terrace, or on mountain, or near a river bank. The higher we are above the earths level, the more effective will be the result. After chanting the mantra we should drink some milk or plain water so that the mantra waves will merge in our body.

Of all the mantra, Siva mantra is the best. There are different methods to chant mantra. When one needs money and happiness in materialistic life he should chant Namahsivaya and if one needs nothing but only God’s grace he should chant Sivayanama.

After deep analysis and research my Guruji Shri Mystic Selvam found that OM SIVA SIVA OM is the best mantra. It is not required for a person to get deeksha from his Guruji to chant this mantra. All that is required is to be a pure vegetarian. Chant this OM SIVA SIVA OM daily 108 times morning and evening. All the five elements are in this mantra (i.e water, fire, earth, air and sky).

This mantra will help us when we are in trouble. My Guruji has spread this message to many people. Once two friends, after finishing their business work, were at a railway station to go back to Chennai. It was 10:50 pm and nothing was available for their dinner in that station. They boarded the train and went to their respective upper berth. But they were very hungry and restless. Suddenly the mantra taught by our Guruji flashed in their mind and they began to chant OM SIVA SIVA OM.

After 20 minutes a man sleeping in the lower berth got up and took a plantain and peeled it when he was about to eat, to his surprise he saw a man sitting on upper berth and watching his. Keeping the fruit in his hand he asked him if he wanted it. The man on upper berth nodded his hand and got 4 plantains and shared them with his friend and drank some water and thanked the Guruji for teaching him the mantra OM SIVA SIVA OM.

To get a problem solved, chant this in a Siva temple.

  • To get a Job or to get rid of  an office problem chant this on Sundays.
  • To get a good life partner chant this on Mondays.
  • To get rid of disease chant this on Tuesdays.
  • To get high rank in education chant this on Wednesday.
  • To get money chant this on Friday.
  • To get rid or conjuring, black magic, casting eyes chant this on Saturdays.

He has gentle as well as fierce forms. Shiva is the greatest of renouncers as well as the ideal lover. He destroyes evil and protects good. He bestows prosperity on worshipers although he is austere. He is omnipresent and resides in everyone as pure consciousness.

Shiva is inseparable from Shakti – Parvati the daughter of Himavaan – Haimavati. There is no Shiva without Shakti and no Shakti without Shiva, the two are one – or the absolute state of being – consciousness and bliss.

The five mantras that constitute Shiva´s body are Sadyojaata, Vaamadeva, Aghora, Tatpurusha and Eesaana . Eesaana is Shiva not visible to the human eye, Sadyojaata is Shiva realized in his basic reality (as in the element earth, in the sense of smell, in the power of procreation and in the mind). The Vishnudharmottara Purana of the 6th century CE assigns a face and an element to each of the above mantras. ( Sadyojaata – earth, Vaamadeva – water, Aghora – fire, Tatpurusha – air and Eesaana – space).

Natarajar

The names of the deified faces with their elements are Mahadeva (earth), Bhairava (fire), Nandi (air), Uma (water) and Sadasiva (space). Panchamukha lingams have been seen from the 2nd century onwards. The Trimurthi Sadasiva image of Shiva in the Elephanta Caves near Mumbai is a portrayal in stone, of the five faces of Shiva. The fourth and the fifth heads are not seen in this image here.
